Equipped instruments

You own an instrument of the brand CAMAC HARPS natively equipped with a ISCHELL, we are therefore delighted to welcome you among the growing number of world-renowned musicians, technicians, sound engineers and artists who have chosen to use our systems. We are at your disposal and we will always remain so in time for any question relating to the use of our systems on your instrument. Your complete satisfaction is a priority for us. Consult the online help and contact us if necessary.

  • System ISCHELL inside C9P is equipped with the contact microphone developed by the brand ISCHELL in 2008 in order to reproduce with the greatest fidelity the acoustics of your instrument, the attack, the timbre, the woody color, your playing and your playing nuances, without the problems of feedback and the resumption of surrounding sounds (Repisse) . Our hybrid Air / Contact technology works without a filter between the membrane and the soundboard of your instrument. We thus reproduce on a reduced and isolated scale an ultimate aerial sound recording, controlled by the immediate environment of our specific putty audio adhesive.
  • The sound is comparable to an aerial microphone, fidelity, warmth, width, air… With the acoustic insulation and the feedback resistance of a cell allowing high levels face / returns. You can easily use it in an amp, apply effects or make clean loops. A revolution in the amplification of many instruments on stage! An innovation ISCHELL !
  • All our products are manufactured and assembled in France by hand, with awareness and respect for a job well done, only with high quality components, for professional quality products which we hope will bring you satisfaction for many years on stage, in the studio and at each of your amplified representations.

What you need to know

  • You will find at the edge of the main hearing, inside the harp, a pocket containing the 9 volt battery and the module inside C9P which adjusts the bass attenuator.
  • By default, the setting on a harp is Flat to have all the bandwidth in the bass (the two switches are on the right). To reduce the bass, push the top switch to 180Hz on the left, the bottom one stays on the right. To reduce them even more, push the bottom switch towards 360Hz, the top one stays on the right as shown in the photo.
  • Always unplug your instrument before attempting placement again or to modify the low cut
  • The system is activated when a jack. Unplug the as soon as you stop using your instrument in order to conserve the battery.
  • Use only jacks mono to go towards amplification.
  • This system requires a 9 volt battery to operate for approximately 1000 hours. If you feel a drop in level, changRemove the battery as soon as possible.
  • Carefully reform the roll of putty adhesive as shown every time!
  • Wash your hands before kneading the putty and carefully clean the bonding areas before doing your tests, they must be clean, dry, non-greasy and smooth.
  • Use only the audio adhesive putty ISCHELL !
  • Electronics are fragile. Operate delicately to act on the low cut. A small pointed object is needed to operate the switches.
  • Your system comes with a dose of audio adhesive putty ISCHELL additional.
  • This system is like your instrument, it is fragile. Never pull on the cables, always remove the microphone delicately from your instrument by taking it by the shell and gently tilting it while removing the putty, to avoid a too sudden suction effect (membrane) and to preserve the surface of the the instrument.

Preparation of the contact microphone before installation

It may sometimes be necessary to reinstall the microphone following an intervention on the harp or to adapt the sound, for this, consult the contact microphone preparation page corresponding to your system:

Positioning the microphone

patemicro6v

  • The basic position is at the bottom third of the harp, 3/4 cm from the strings, at the level of the nylon / wound strings change type or at the C level.
  • You can adjust the tonal balance by moving more or less towards bass or treble.
