Choosing a contact or aerial mic depends on your stage conditions. For a classical guitar in an acoustic stage context, aerial microphones are preferred but with high levels on stage, a contact microphone becomes essential. For acoustic stages, a removable system with aerial microphone like the J48A for example, will fit perfectly. The microphone is placed on the edge of the rosette at the bottom of the handle and significantly improves the admissible power in return.
For scenes with high levels, to use effects or make loops, a system with a contact microphone like the J48C will be preferred. Our new C3 contact microphone is particularly well suited with exceptional fidelity to the acoustics of the instrument. Or also, to adapt to all situations, a 2X48+ ACPJ with un contact microphone + an aerial united on the same system. These models are available in an “inside” version for a fixed internal installation.

The aerial microphone A1 is particularly well suited to classical guitars in mono or stereo. It is a very small microphone with a design studied to be placed as close as possible to the source of the sound, to have more gain, less feedback and limit the capture of ambient noise. Particularly suited to acoustic music ensembles, it faithfully and very naturally reproduces the sound of your instrument with precision, dynamics and allows comfortable return levels on stage. It is placed at the edge of the sound hole on the treble side, directed towards the strings. No need for a microphone stand, you can move without the sound changing!
Two A1 aerial microphones placed in the bass and treble positions will bring you the maximum sound power, level management possibilities on stage and in the hall, spatialization with bass and treble stereo, full and wide sound for acoustic configurations.

Le contact microphone Ischell is particularly suitable for stringed acoustic instruments to perform on amplified stages. On a classical guitar it is usually placed inside under the bridge.
It's a new type of contact microphone with very good results on classical guitars, a natural sound which is faithful to the instrument and which respects the nuances of the musician with precision. Sound insulation and feedback resistance are comparable to a sensor and allow high levels on stage and in the hall. You can easily use it in an amp, apply effects to it and make clean loops ...

… I have tried many classical guitar systems but it's always a compromise. When I heard the sound of the system Ischell I was so surprised by the natural sound of the guitar, even under difficult acoustic conditions. Since I use the system Ischell I am on stage as in studio, I hear all the frequencies and harmonics that I missed before…
…What is striking about this system is its transparency. The test is simple: you set the volume to zero and then increase it gradually. The volume changes, not the sound. It is that of the instrument simply amplified…
… The sound is very natural and the quality leaves no doubt. The system is easy to use for sound engineers with a good level of feedback! Well done !…

I tried the microphone J48A on my flamenco guitar and I am very very happy with it: compared to the D ** **** G, equivalent sound quality, each microphone has its qualities, but big advantages: in addition to the price 2 times cheaper, we have between + 30% and 40% more power, as well as a much greater solidity and convenience of use, no risk of damaging a very thin cable or the clamp as in the other system, nothing to install, it you just have to plug in! Also, I tried the mic J48A in my Marschall AS50D amp and the sound is really great!
