The contact microphone Ischell can be used on an archtop Jazz guitar to amplify the acoustic sound of the instrument. Recognized for its fidelity to the instrument, its resistance to feedback and the possibility of using effects, of making clean loops. The models Ischell inside BOX + CPJ ou X48 + CPJ are the best-selling, removable, they do not require any intervention on the instrument but they can remain permanently installed without hindering the casing. The microphone is usually placed on the soundboard, under the strings.

It is possible to install the microphone kit permanently with drilling. The Jack must be able to pass through the gills. The microphone wire then emerges through the gills for a clean installation.

The contact microphone Ischell is a new type of contact microphone. It performs very well on archtop Jazz guitars with a natural acoustic sound that is faithful to the instrument. Sound insulation and feedback resistance are comparable to a sensor and allow high levels on stage and in the hall. You can easily use it in an amp, apply effects to it, and make clean loops.

It is possible to install the microphone kit permanently with drilling. The Jack must be able to pass through the gills for this. The microphone wire then emerges through the gills for a clean installation. All the models presented below have their version with permanently installed microphone kit. The microphone kit is then called CJ after the model X48 + C.J., inside BOX + C.J. ou 1X48 + CJ

Commentary and video by Alex Goodman at the Montreux Jazz Festival 2015

“The microphone is great! I brought in my acoustic for a set and am having them install the mic so haven't heard it yet. Im really starting to figure out the contact mic on my main archtop though. I got an inline attenuator to help get the right signal strength for live performance and its really adding a lot to my sound. I actually used it on a recording in Canada last week and it was a great addition in the studio. ”
