Almost 3 years ago I bought this X48A microphone to add to my Celtic harp (it already had an X48C attached to it) and I've used it a lot, because it's way less work to record with this aerial microphone instead of setting up an extra microphone next to the harp for the aerial sound. It's really convenient when recording, that this microphone is already attached to the harp.
The sound is comparable to a Rode NT5 when recording, even though it's a lot smaller.
You do need the foam wind cover (which was included), because otherwise you can hear yourself breathing.
Be careful when taking the fabric cover on/off the harp – the microphone's wind cover does come off a bit easily when you're not careful with your harp cover.
I'm planning to buy another one of these for my other harp (which I got in the meantime) as well.
