I was told to buy this or get stuck with a mic stand, so I did. It is one of those systems you can’t rave about because it is too perfect. With flat eq, my spanish guitar sounds just the same but louder, and the installation is very discrete – the wiring is all neatly tucked out of sight. No tweaking or adjustment necessary – it was all done while the system was installed. I haven’t yet used it live, but in tests in rehearsal and in my home studio I have no trouble with feedback. You can get surprisingly close to the speaker at decent volume without a squeak. I now have to correct all my bad fingering techniques, cos the amplified guitar is better than I am, but it is a great step forwards for me as a live musician. I fully recommend the Ischell system. Before the end of the year I will have a video out which will allow you to hear for yourselves. – Ian Woodward, La Barque Rouge (chansons des cinq océans)
