Ischell and world music: the Bolon

The Bolon, is a traditional Mandingo instrument found in Mali or Guinea, tuned an octave lower than the N'goni, it is made of two assembled calabashes covered with a skin and a round handle. The strings are twisted skin and pass through the center of the bridge and the neck.

The contact microphone Ischell is placed in the center of the bridge on the neck side, between the first string and the skin. Here it is a X48C who is used
